Fokker 70 Specs, Price, Interior, Cockpit, & Photos. Fokker 70 is a twin passenger aircraft developed and built by the Fokker Aircraft Company (FAC), the Netherlands. This aircraft completed its maiden flight in July 1994 and entered solution with Ford Motor Company in October 1994. A sophisticated version, Fokker 70A was developed to be placed in the US. Fokker 70ER is a long-range model introduced in 1994. Fokker is equipped with an additional fuel tank to carry out long-range missions.

Fokker 70 Specs

It was built by reducing the length of 100 Fokker aircraft parts by 4.62 m and removing two emergency exits. FAC bankruptcy resulted in the cessation of Fokker 70 production in 1996. The last Fokker 70 shipment occurred in April 1997. A total of 48 Fokker 70s were operated with 15 operators worldwide in November 2009.

Fokker 70 Engine

Fokker 70 is powered by two Rolls-Royce Tay 620-15 turbofan engines, each of which produces 61.6 kN thrust. The engine is mounted on the back of the aircraft. Tay 620-15 is a two-shaft high bypass ratio engine equipped with high pressure compressors, low pressure turbines, high pressure turbines and annular combustion systems. The length and diameter of the engine fan ends are 28.6 m and 13.4 m, respectively. The dry weight is 1,422 kg.

Fokker 70 Redesign

Fokker 70 can fly with a maximum speed of 856 km/ hr. The cruising speed is 800 km/ hour. Kiosk speed is 222 km/ hr. The range and solution ceiling of the aircraft are 2,010 km and 10,668 m respectively.

Fokker 70 Specs

Fokker 70 has a 95% design similar to the Fokker F100. Fokker 70 is created to meet the strict noise regulation of the Federal Aviation Administration Stage 3. The exterior design of the aircraft consists of three patterns or two patterns with a middle tank. The aircraft is equipped with a cabin pressure system and air conditioning system.
