The aircraft can go up to 30,000 ft and is capable of flying up to a range of 1,046 km on a single charge and offers 45 minutes of backup power in the event of an emergency.
Eviation Alice Commuter Specs
The Eviation Alice airframe was built using lightweight carbon fiber composite materials supplied by Carboman Group’s subsidiary, Multiplast. Composite materials will offer a lightweight airframe while maintaining its strength. This aircraft has a fixed wing design, low wing configuration, and v-tail rear structure.
Takeoff and landing operations are supported by regular tricycle type retractable landing gear. The landing gear wheel was supplied by Magnaghi Aeronautica. Overall the Eviation Alice aircraft has a length of 12.2 m, wingspan reaches 16.12 m and the maximum take-off weight is 6,350 kg.
The Eviation Alice uses a distributed propulsion system consisting of a five-bladed main propeller, which is reinforced by a pair of additional propeller thrusters mounted at the wingtips. The propeller is specially developed by the Hartzell Propeller company. The main propeller propellers are able to take off and land in the event of an emergency wingtip.
The blades are made of carbon fiber material, with the leading edge of cobalt nickel. The wingtip propellers help reduce the induced drag, while the motor helps with the self-balancing evaporating operation.
