The Beriev Be-200 is a twin turbofan multi-role amphibious aircraft created by Berieva Aviatsionnyi Kompaniya (Beriev Aviation Company), with the Russian Irkutsk Aircraft Production Association (IAPO). The aircraft was cultivated under a collaborative program that included major aviation industry companies such as Beriev Aircraft, Airbus, EADS-Irkut Seaplane (EISP) and EADS. The Be-200 test aircraft completed its maiden flight in September 1998. The Be-200ES first production aircraft made its first flight in June 2003.

Beriev Be-200 Engine and Performance
The Be-200 amphibious aircraft is powered by two Progress D-436TP ZMKB turbofans and a TA 12-60 auxiliary power unit. Each engine is capable of producing an output power of 73.6 kN. The machine was created by the Progress Design Bureau and created by the Motorsich factory in Zaporozhye.
The D-436TP turbofan engines generate higher performance in hot and high conditions compared to turboprop engines mounted on similar fire engines.
