Kolb Flyer Super Sport Specs
The Kolb Flyer SS design has been modified to fit the US light sports aircraft market. The fuselage was made of fiber-glass material, then replaced with carbon-fiber material. This was done to reduce the weight of the aircraft while increasing its strength. Changes were also made to the size of the door, so that passengers can get in and out of the plane more easily from the plane made possible by pushing the buffer position backwards.
The Kolb Flyer SS aircraft has wet wings and artificial metal tail feathers, Fowler wings, and the aileron Frize. The metal wing is covered with aluminum sheets. The wing has two interconnected fuel tanks. Horizontal empennage is also covered with aluminum and fiberglass ends. Aileron turns up to 300 up and 170 down. The bell crank makes the ailerons move. The flap is connected through a torque tube which is connected to an electric motor. Flaps turn from -4 ° to 40 °. The control cover is placed on the cockpit center console.
This aircraft has the main gear Wittman and trailing link nose gear. Operated through throttle and brake. Two main wheels are mounted in the landing gear socket. The main wheels are placed on an aluminum fork. The nose wheel can rotate 360 °. This aircraft has a differential braking system which is operated from the pilot and passenger seats.
