Stratos 714: price, specs, interior, range, & cockpit. Stratos 714 is a single-engine lightweight business jet created and produced by Stratos Aircraft based in the United States. The jet can fly from Miami to Seattle in seven hours using a single refueling stop. The wind tunnel test at Stratos 714 was conducted at the University of Washington Kirsten Wind Tunnel in August 2011. The business jet was first launched at the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) held in May 2008. The first flight of the Stratos 714 jet was completed in November 2016.

Stratos 714 Powertrain

Stratos 714 Engine

The Stratos 714 is powered by a single Williams International FJ44-3AP two-shaft turbofan engine with a thrust of 13.5 kN. The engine is put up in the rear of the cabin to produce a high thrust-to-weight ratio and minimize fuel consumption and operating costs. The engine has a length of 1.58 m and a diameter of 0.58 m. The dry weight is 239kg. The time between repairs (TBO) is 4,000 hours.

The FADEC compatible engine is furnished with a one-stage fan with an integral single stage low pressure axial compressor, annular burner and one-stage high pressure, and two-stage low pressure turbine.

Stratos 714 Redesign

Stratos 714 can fly at a maximum speed of 769km/ hour. The kiosk speed is 117 km/ hour. The maximum range and service ceiling of the aircraft are 2,779 km and 12,500 m respectively. The take-off distance is 600m and the touchdown distance is 683m.

Stratos 714 Specs

The slim and aerodynamic design of Stratos 714 achieves more fuel efficiency compared to conventional business jets. The fuselage is built with sophisticated carbon fiber composite material to increase the strength-to-weight ratio, avoid corrosion, and optimize obstacles during flight.

Stratos 714 Redesign

This business jet has been created to maintain extensive laminar flow in cruising speeds. It can operate day and night from unprepared runways and grass runways.

The Stratos 714 touchdown gear is a tricycle undercarriage that can be pulled from being hydraulically driven by a gear switch. It is geared up with one wheel nose wheels and two main wheel legs. The main gear shortens to the wing while the nose wheel turns into the front wheel after takeoff.

Stratos 714 Cabin and Interior

Stratos 714 has a low wing monoplane design. The pressurized Stratos 714 cabin measures 2.9 m in length, 1.43 m in width and 1.46 m in height. This accommodates two passengers providing 0.76 m of leg space. The cabin provides in-flight access to 160 cubic feet of volume available in two external baggage compartments.

Cabin is available in six different configurations, which include four standard seating, club seating, five seats, training, toilets and cargo. The five-seat model will feature the fifth seat behind the co-pilot’s seat.

The Stratos 714 cabin is furnished with an air conditioning system, ice protection system, interior LED lights, reading lights for the rear seats, plus front and rear luggage compartment lights. 0.6 m and 1.2 m wide cabin doors are available on the left side for passenger entry and exit. It is furnished with an emergency exit on the right side of the fuselage.

Stratos 714 Cockpit and Avionics

The glass enclosure of the Stratos 714 aircraft is integrated with two main flight displays and a single multifunction display to show data related to navigation, instrumentation of flight, fuel and engines to the flight crew.

Stratos 714 cockpit is geared up with side-stick flight controls, removable winglets, removable horizontal stabilizer, fuel system, electrical system, environmental control system and fuel management system. This business jet was built according to FAR 23 rules for visual flight rules (VFR), international flight rules (IFR) and reduced minimum vertical separation (RVSM).

The avionics suite put up at Stratos 714 includes attitude and canopy reference systems, colored weather radars, wide area augmentation systems, flight data recorders, field awareness and warning systems, S mode transponders, air data computers, dual VHF radios, voice over recorders, autopilot and emergency locator transmitters.

Stratos 714 Price

The most up-to-date Stratos 714 price is around US $ 3-3.5 Million.
