Ilyushin IL-96-300: interior, price, cockpit, cabin, and specs. Ilyushin IL-96-300Ilyushin IL-96-300 is a wide body long-distance passenger aircraft. Designed by Russian aircraft developer Sergey V ILyushin, this aircraft was produced by the Voronezh Aircraft Production Association. Aerodynamic configuration, design and systems use the latest solutions, ensuring high security and economic efficiency effective. Ilyushin IL-96-300 abides by all international ecological requirements and thus can be run in all regions of the world. This aircraft is recognized for running from high altitude aerodynamics and can land in the IIIA and IIIB ICAO airfield categories.
The first flight was carried out on September 28, 1988. The pilot was S.G. Blizniuk. Certificate Type No. 22-96-300 AR by IAC was granted in December 1992. Ilyushin IL-96-300 began operations in July 1993 with Aeroflot Russian International Airlines. There are around 19 Ilyushin IL-96-300 which have been produced where 6 units are used by Aeroflot and 3 units are run by Domodedovo Civil Aviation Enterprise, 2 for AiRUnion (KrasAir) 1 for Atlant-Soyuz Airlines, 3 for Cubana de Aviacion, and 4 for Rossiya Airlines (VIP flight unit, used for presidential flights).
Ilyushin IL-96-300 Engine
Ilyushin IL-96-300 aircraft uses four two-shaft PS-90A turbofan engines with a thrust rating of 16,000 kgf (157kN, 35,300 lbf) and was established by Perm Motors Holding, Russia. The PS-90A design is a twin-spool, high-bypass-ratio turbofan with a fan and core air flow. The engine has 11 modules, a noise suppression system and thrust reversing on the fan duct. The aircraft also includes an additional VSU-10-02 power unit built by Baranov Manufacturing Union,
Russia. Aircraft with PS-90A engines and 2nd generation sound absorbing structures (ZPK-2) adhere to ICAO requirements regarding emissions and noise
The PS-90A engine was certified in 1992 and based on the noise limit of ICAO stage 3. The fuel consumption of this engine is 0.595 kg/ kgf per hour. Flight height is supported up to 13,100 m. Cruising speed 850 to 900 km/ h (460-485 knots). Cross country roaming speed of 0.78 Mach, high speed roaming 0.80 Mach and maximum speed of 0.84 mach.
Ilyushin IL-96-300M and Ilyushin IL-96-300T variants are driven by the Pratt & Whitney PW 2337 engine with a thrust rating of 165kN (37,000 lbf). Modern turbofan engines include fans, compressors, turbines, combustion chambers and exhaust nozzles. All components play an important role and create thrust that in turn pushes the aircraft forward.
Ilyushin IL-96-300 Specs
The design of the Ilyushin IL-96-300 aircraft uses modern materials to reduce aircraft weight while ensuring the required rigidity and durability. A large-diameter aircraft gives passengers a new level of comfort during long flights. The new wing ensures reliable and safe flight in all operational speed ranges.
The cabin layout of the Ilyushin IL-96-300 holds 262 passengers, with 18 54in pitch seats and 244 32in pitch seats. The galley is positioned on the upper deck, 16 LD-3 containers and the crew toilet are located on the lower deck. Another 289 seat layout specification is done by increasing seats in the business class section from 18 to 44 with pitch 34in. The flight crew consisted of only 3 people. This is possible because of the use of a modern system and glass cockpit. In terms of reliability, security and cost effectiveness, Ilyushin IL-96-300 is the same as its foreign counterparts.
